New Delhi: Search engine giant Google is introducing a new feature for your Chrome browser. With this feature, users can find out which website their Android smartphone has reached their information on. In addition, an upcoming publication will add the option to delete sites from your browsing history in Google Chrome. This is part of the Google Chrome 92 update. Google said in a statement late Tuesday that with the updated site security controls, we’ve made it easier to track which sites are allowed which information. To open an updated panel, just tap on the lock icon to the left of the Chrome address bar, which will indicate what permissions you granted to a particular site. From there you’ll be able to easily toggle between sharing and not sharing things like your location and camera.

The address bar also became actionable

This Chrome browser update will allow users to take action by typing in the address bar. For example, when users type ‘Safety Check’ it will check the security of the password and do many things including scanning malicious extensions. Similarly, “manage security settings” or “manage sync” also works this way and users do not need to go to settings and perform these actions.

Google added many more features when it came to security

To keep your users safe, Google last week added another feature to its search that would allow people to quickly delete the last 15 minutes of browsing history on mobile. The feature is available in the Google app for iOS and is coming to the Android Google app later this year. This tool is not yet available for desktop users.

Google says it has also expanded ‘Site Isolation’, a security feature that protects users from malicious websites. ‘Site Isolation’ will now cover extensions as well as a broader range of sites, and it all comes with a chrome speed tweak. The company says that new updates and features will come to Chrome on Android and Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS in the coming weeks.
