Today, 5G networks are being opposed all over the world, including India, the petition said. The petition states that 5G is the biggest threat to the privacy of Internet users. It can also easily hack users’ data. Meanwhile, the petitioner also mentioned in the petition that hundreds of birds died suddenly during the testing of 5G network in the Netherlands. About 300 birds died during the test of the 5G network in The Hague, of which 150 died shortly after the test began.

Threat to national security?

In 2018, Chinese company Huawei tested 5G internet in Gurugram, Haryana, the petition said. It states that the technology of 5G networks uses electromagnetic radiation, which also greatly increases the risk of cancer. Mobile radiation affects women as well as children during pregnancy. The petition said the 5G network would be useful for terrorists and also a major threat to the country’s security.

Purchase of spectrum from Geo

For some time now, all telecom companies have been pushing for 5G network testing. Airtel, Geo and Vodafone-Idea are constantly working on its testing. Geo has recently bought spectrum worth Rs 57,123 crore. In addition, the company has purchased spectrum in 22 circles. The spectrum purchased by Reliance Jio will also be used to provide 5G services. The company recently announced that it has developed indigenous 5G technology, which has been tested in the United States. The company’s owner Mukesh Ambani has also announced the launch of 5G this year.
